Nature Explorers and the Park After the Storm

After having a rest yesterday, we came back to 30 Days Wild with a bang today. We took part in nature explorers, an under 5s group run in our local park. This month was all about preparing for the summer and learning about Eid. We made a mobile, found out how ducks prepare for the summer and also helped the park keepers to clear up the fallen branches and twigs after the recent storms.

Baobao's favourite part of the morning was collecting treasures, such as stones, fallen petals and feathers, and of course snack time.

Before group, we saw a duck by the cafe. We learnt about ducks and how they prepare for summer.
We decorated paper moon and stars in preparation for celebrating Eid.

Then we learnt about how the park keepers take care of the park and helped them to collect branches after the recent storms.
Baobao especially enjoyed collecting treasures.
On our walk around the park we saw the trees that had been damaged by the recent storms.
This tree had been especially damaged.
The pieces of the fallen tree. We counted the rings to find out how old it was.
